With REVEAL along the way of the customer journey
On 7 December 2016, REVEAL was represented at the Monitoring Forum in Munich, Germany, with an information booth. Software AG used the occasion to showcase the enterprise application at this prestigious at social media monitoring and analytics conference. Here, Gabriele Strobel reports about the event and its outcome.
On 7 December 2016, REVEAL was represented at the Monitoring Forum in Munich, Germany, with an information booth. The REVEAL partners from Software AG, Gabriele Strobel and Martin Scheid, used the occasion to showcase the enterprise application. This year the conference focused on the challenges and experiences of social media data for digital marketing. This presented a great occasion for the REVEAL team to highlight the benefits of the enterprise platform.
Shortly before the first coffee break the exhibitors were invited to quickly and simply define their business ideas and value propositions. It was nice to see that after Gabi Strobel’s elevator pitch a cluster of people formed at the REVEAL booth in the coffee break.
The attendees, among them Marketing Managers, Customer Research Managers, Digital Communication Managers, Social Media Analysts and Digital Strategists, were very interested in the feature that allows for finding experts and profile sources based on their activities in enterprise communities. In addition, they talked about the possibility to monitor and analyze social media data and communities in real-time with the booth team, as well as interacting with every customer in the right way.
Many of the visitors said they appreciated the discussions with representatives of a research project, and their respective insights into the newest developments in social media management and analysis tools. “Respect”, was the reaction of an attendee of the University of Munich, “you used all the newest research papers in your work”, he praised.
This statement and the results of case studies and workshops at the conference allow us to conclude that social media monitoring, analyzing and verifying it is an extremely hot topic in the digital marketing and communication area. With the rise of vast social networking platforms, the customer is no longer limited to a passive role in his or her relationship with a company.
Meanwhile enterprises are accompanying the entire customer journey through social media monitoring and analysis mechanisms. Innovation gathering, catching the voice of customers, getting insights from social media – these are all issues that fit ideally with the enterprise application of REVEAL. They play a strategic role for customer relationship management – even though Frederik Tautz of the PR agency Ketchum reminded us that our head stays the most powerful tool of all!
