In the coming months, REVEAL will be present at a number of events and conferences. Here’s where you can meet us in March and April.

We always try and publish where you can meet us (conferences, trade fairs, workshops and the like) in the events section of the REVEAL website. However, as this is not featured so prominently, and as quite a number of events are up and coming at which REVEAL will be represented, here’s a little overview of where you can meet us in the coming months.

On 4 March 2016, you can meet Linda Rath-Wiggins and Jochen Spangenberg at the Crossmedia Day 2016 in Leipzig, Germany. They will showcase the prototype and concept of the REVEAL journalism application, and discuss verification issues and challenges all day with a journalism-centric audience.

On 16 March 2016 Nikos Sarris of ATC will be present at the EC’s Info Day on Media and Content Convergence in Brussels. There will be a REVEAL poster session, and you can discuss the current state of affairs of the REVEAL applications with Nikos.

From 16-18 March 2016, you can meet SAG’s Marc Dorchain at this year’s CeBIT in Hanover (it runs from 14-18 March), where he will be available to answer any questions you may have. You can find Marc at the SAG stand C11 in Hall 4. (More information about SAG’s CeBIT presence can be found here).

On 7 April 2016, Jochen Spangenberg will speak on a panel at the International Journalism Festival in Perugia, Italy, staged from 6-10 April 2016. The session’s title: Automatic verification: how far can we go? Panellists will discuss how technology can support journalists with verification, and what limits there are (at least at present).

Shortly afterwards, namely on 12 April 2016, you can join and meet us in Montreal, Canada. Three REVEAL papers have been accepted for presentation at SNOW 2016, a one-day workshop held in conjunction with the 25th International World Wide Web Conference (WWW 2016).

We would be delighted to meet you at one or more of the above events. Get in touch when there, or better beforehand, so we have enough time to hook up and plan accordingly.
