On 31 March 2015, REVEAL participated at the News Impact Summit in Hamburg, Germany. REVEAL was an official partner, presented a project overview and conducted a workshop at this high level verification event.
On 31 March 2015, the next News Impact Summit will take place in Hamburg, Germany. REVEAL is pleased and proud to partner with organisers Google and the European Journalism Centre for this exciting event that brings together a wide set of verification experts.
As part of the journalistic user requirements gathering in REVEAL, we conducted 24 interviews with journalists, mostly throughout 2014. Some of the findings and insights into dealing with user-generated content have now been published in the paper “Emerging Journalistic Verification Practices Concerning Social Media”. 50 users can download the paper for free.
On 9-10 March Peggy Valcke from iMinds-KU Leuven’s ICRI/CIR presented REVEAL at the audiovisual conference “Strengthening the European audiovisual media market – for the development of the European identity”, organized by the Latvian Presidency of the Council of the EU.
